Our Origins and Purpose
The South African Fed Legends was born out of a deep respect for the struggle, sacrifice, and legacy of non-racial football in South Africa. Established in 2006 at the historic Curries Fountain in Durban, the organisation traces its roots to the South African Soccer Federation (1951–1992), which championed unity and equality through the beautiful game.
We acknowledge the contributions of over 200,000 players, referees, officials, and supporters who stood firm against the injustices of segregated sport. Their stories continue to shape our purpose. Today, SA Fed Legends serves to keep these memories alive, strengthen the bonds among past and present members, and build platforms for continued impact in football and community development.
Guided by principles of non-racialism, dignity, and service, we are committed to preserving our proud history while empowering future generations to honour, serve, and lead through sport.
